Transportation Coordinator

Role and Responsibilities- Transportation

Communication:

• Receives Calls and Texts for Day Program and Transportation line and relays updates as needed
  from 6:00 AM-8:30 AM and 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM (30 hours per week)

• Monitor Vehicles via tracking software to make sure they are on time during their routes

• Communicates with families and Individuals on a route if something makes it more than 15 minutes late

• Updates route with any changes throughout the day (via emails, texts, calls)Communicates with Drivers and/or Program Managers of changes in routes.

• Communicates with Drivers and/or Monitors regarding any route or vehicle questions or concerns

• Notifies Families and Individuals of any permanent changes in routes at least two weeks in advance

• Communicates with Operations to maintain Vehicles relaying needs beyond scheduled maintenance

• Communicates with Program Manager to secure fill-in drivers as needed

Software:

• Enters All Transportation shifts in Scheduling Software via EHR prior to start of month

• Updates the transportation software (various software) with any permanent changes

• Adds new Individuals in need of transportation to system and maps them into a route

• Updates routes as needed

• Generates reports for review as needed

• Wex gas card review as needed

Supervision of Drivers:

• Recruits and Sorts through Resumes and Interviews when new Drivers as positions arise

• Meets with Program Manager when needed to find drivers in regions when needed

• Works with Operations and Program Managers to obtain vehicles if route vehicles are out for Service

• Maintains the Drivers Spreadsheet for company insurance

• Complete any Coaching or Retraining needed for current Drivers

• Attend Monthly Transportation committee meetings

• Helps set up routes and get drivers for new Day program Regions as needed

• Prepare documents for and conduct driver training as needed

• Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Current Driver's License

• Completed LHS Driver Training

• High school diploma

Preferred Skills/Knowledge Requirements

• Customer Service Background

• Efficient Google Suite / Google Drive

• Efficient in Therap

• Efficient in gps software (training available)

• Professional communication skills
