Staff training instructor

CBC is looking for a high energy, patient and self motivated Staff instructor.

Overall Description: 

The Staff Instructor position provides live training (both in person and remote) to new and existing staff and providers for CBC and its family of providers, including, but not limited to: Standard First Aid, CPR, and strategies for preventing restrictive interventions (NCI+). 

Specific Job Duties: 

• Provide on-site training at program offices and facilities. 
• Conduct remote trainings 
• Assist in evaluating prospective employees and providers. 
• Document training completion in terms of attendance, ability to absorb and understand information being communicated, skills demonstration, and post-training test results. 
• Support training curriculum development. 
• Complete required documentation and certificates in a timely manner
• Provide ongoing training consultation as requested from program operations. 
• Maintain active trainer certification and complete ongoing continuing education as required. 

Position Requirements:

A qualified candidate must have the following: 

• Certification as a trainer for the designated course(s) (American Red Cross CPR and First Aid and NCI Plus Prevention, Defensive, Restrictive) .  If certification is not already in place, CBC will train the qualified candidate.
• Willingness to travel on a regular basis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Zoom, Google Meet etc. preferred
• Experience in Google Docs and Google Sheets preferred
• High moral and ethical character. 
• Experience with the I/DD field preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
