Community Based Care- Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

Overall Description:

The EHS Coordinator works closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Director (EHSD) to ensure all future CBC acquisitions are transitioned as smoothly as possible in the areas of vendors, contracts, and safety. The EHS Coordinator will also work with the EHSD to ensure that all care and work environments are safe, appealing, and meet safety codes and regulations enforced by local, state, and federal entities.

Primary Job Duties:

The EHS Coordinator shall be specifically responsible for the following:

  • Will coordinate/complete the change of ownership for all vendor accounts for any future acquisitions
  • Will coordinate/complete the cancellation and new vendor accounts for any future acquisitions that will tuck into existing agencies
  • Investigate any existing contracts of the new acquisitions to determine end dates and the ability to terminate the contract if not needed.
  • Create and employ a tracking process to ensure all contracts and accounts are moved or canceled in a timely manner.
  • Visit locations as needed to ensure the safety and compliance to safety regulations of all CBC locations
  • Provide support to the EHSD to ensure that all internal and external inspections are completed regularly and on time. Including the scheduling and tracking of inspections.
  • Assist the Logistics and Purchasing coordinator in attaining and monitoring vendors.
  • Assist the logistics and Purchasing coordinator to help with tickets when needed.
  • Ensure proper approvals for purchases according to expense approval procedures
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal provider partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, and due to the nature of the position, will require:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Evening and weekend work, on occasion
  • Travel for meetings and on-site observation, sometimes overnight, to program/offices, on occasion
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively
  • Time management skills and problem-solving ability
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency with G Suite array of productivity tools (Gmail, word processing, and spreadsheet documents).
  • Proficiency with Technology such as Scanning, emails, document attachments, etc.
